Be moved...be calmed...be inspired...be
uplifted
Pianist and composer Charles Timberlake will be giving an
informal lunchtime recital of his compositions in Portsmouth
Anglican Cathedral on Sunday 20th July from 1 to 2pm.
Charles has produced seven CD albums of inspirational piano and
instrumental music, the last five in collaboration with composer
John Daniels. Their latest recording, Only in Your Eyes, was
released in March of this year. Their music is regularly featured
on Radio 2's Good Morning Sunday Programme with Aled Jones.
A general publicity/awareness
day
This will be held on the 24 July at
Gunwharf Quays, the recreation and leisure complex at
Portsmouth Harbour.
We will be there all day to hand out publicity material and
goodies to raise awareness with potential callers and prospective
volunteers. This is a major site for recreation in Portsmouth and
for students going to Portsmouth University - with this in
mind we have also put in place a publicity campaign with Gunwharf
cinema for the autumn.
Portsmouth Branch are also in the midst of 'elections'. We have
been nominated to appear on the Portsmouth edition of the
well-known game of Monopoly. The competition is fierce but we are
urging everyone to vote for us. If you are able to vote we
